The Artful Inlets program started in 2019 as a cooperative effort between the city of Norman Stormwater Division, Norman Arts Council, and the Public Arts Board to bring attention to sometimes hidden stormwater infrastructure around the city. Norman’s Stormwater Program Manager, Carrie Evenson, the Norman Arts Council’s Public Art Manager, Debby Williams, provides an overview of the project in this episode. The 2020 artists, Kris Wilson, Kody Haskins, Laura Nelsen, Ken Hall, Michael Wilson, and Bonnie Amspacher, add their thoughts on the program and the message behind their works.

State Fair Food Substitutions Vol. 1

In light of the State Fair not happening this year, I visited three different places for fair-inspired food. First up for appetizers there’s the Okie Twinkies from Eddie’s in Edmond, then a turkey leg where the meat slides off the bone from Big O’s Pork and Dreams in Emond, and I end the video with dessert from Contrabandz Ice Cream Lab.

My goal was to have five different places for this collection, but schedules didn’t work out, so I still hope you enjoy this episode! I was hoping to including Philly Home Flaming Hot Cheetos Philly, Mighty Corn Dog, and The Catfish Bayou. I also had a friend comment on the video that FireLake Fry Bread Taco in Shawnee makes the best, best, best Indian tacos.

Not Cho Cheesecake

After visiting a cheesecake bakery out of state, Shoshianna Moore was inspired to start one in Bethany. Not Cho Cheesecake is a place along Route 66 where you come in with a sweet tooth and leave as family.

Dance, play, or walk on the interactive art piece, Aqueous by Jen Lewin, outside Oklahoma Contemporary for a colorful experience in Downtown Oklahoma City. Yes, please touch the art!

You can visit Aqueous for yourself at Campbell Art Park at 1146 North Broadway Avenue in Oklahoma City. It will be on display every night until 11 p.m. until October 19, 2020. This is my first video shot with my new Lumix S1H. This video shows off what a beast this camera is capable of capturing. All the footage, with the exception of the slow-motion shots, were shot in 5.9K 10-bit HDR HLG. Despite the low light conditions, the image is so clean. I’m really happy with how well this video turned out.
