EXT. MAIN STREET – DAY

Avery leads Jordan to the nearby artistic bike rack.

AVERY
Take this bike rack.

JORDAN
Wait, that’s a bike rack? I thought it was a sculpture.

AVERY
Art can be functional too. Every year, the Norman Arts Council puts out a call for bike rack designs. Not only do they look cool, but they also encourage people to live healthy lives, giving people a place to park their bikes.

JORDAN
That’s actually kind of cool.

AVERY
I’m glad you think so.

JORDAN
What’s with the paintbrush?

AVERY
I got this paintbrush from this weird couple. They told me this brush could turn art alive.

JORDAN
Wait, like those birds in the alley? That was you?

AVERY
Yes, that was me. Watch.

Across the street are LOKI and RAVEN. Raven holds a tablet device.

RAVEN
(using tablet)
Commencing chaos.

We focus back on Jordan and Avery. The paintbrush starts to wiggle around and sparks fly.

JORDAN
What’s it doing?

AVERY
I don’t know.

A monster roars to life from the paintbrush as we see the terrified faces of the couple. It’s the same monster seen in the art gallery.

JORDAN
What is that thing?

AVERY
I don’t know! I didn’t bring it to life.

The monster roars again.

JORDAN
Do something!

AVERY
Like what?

JORDAN
I don’t know! Break the paintbrush?

AVERY
I’ll give it a shot.

Avery snaps the paintbrush in half and the monster screams in a painful death.

CUT TO ALLEYWAY:
While Skip is enjoying his tea with the birds, everything disappears.

CUT BACK:

JORDAN
It worked! I can’t believe it worked.

AVERY
Yeah, me too.

A moment of awkward silence.

JORDAN
So…Didn’t you say you had something cool to show me?

AVERY
Oh, yeah! I want to show you one of my favorite only water down the drain art peices.

Avery leads the way to The Depot.

JORDAN
Do you think anyone saw that?

AVERY
If they did, they probably thought it was performance art.

Across the street, Loki and Raven watch the couple.

LOKI
Again, Avery destroyed the brush before it could cause too much chaos.

RAVEN
But I do see Jordan submitting a bike rack design now.

Loki looks at the tablet.

LOKI
That is an interesting design. Anyway, shall we try again, Raven?
